Bitwise equality of two array trees: the same nesting structure and every leaf np.array_equal (shape and values exactly). Returns False on ANY mismatch – structure, shape, or values – and never raises: representational equality is a total question (the np.array_equal convention). The representation-level half of the library’s explicit equality checks (the numerical half is each class’s allclose).
